Digital Delivery Note for Work Platform Rental

Around 5,000 work platforms and lift trucks are available from Felbermayr in a total of 32 rental locations. Therefore, the family-owned company from upper Austria with its headquarters in Wels is one of the largest height access technology in Europe.

By digitising delivery and collection of height access technology, Felbermayr is completing its digital processes in order to design a rental process that is as efficient, transparent, sustainable and resource-efficient as possible. Customers benefit from real-time status of their orders, efficient processing and transparent rental.

The tried and tested software solution is the basis

We have worked tirelessly on the implementation since the start of last year. “When introducing the digital delivery note, we are relying on the most modern technology in order to offer our customers the best possible service and to design our work processes to be even more efficient in the future”, says Clemens Felbermayr, Sales Manager and Authorised signatory at Felbermayr Work platform and lift truck rental. All Austrian and German Felbermayr rental stations will be equipped with the new technology by the end of May.

Renting work platforms: As easy as parcel delivery

The digital transformation has many benefits. These mainly include its potential to optimise manual processes and, by changing over from paper to digital applications, to speed up administrative tasks, design subsequent processed to be easier and to save valuable resources. Similar to parcel delivery, when renting work platforms, lift trucks and mini-cranes, an online form is filled in when collecting and returning the rental device, which therefore eliminates the delivery note in paper format.

Delivering and returning work platforms and lift trucks

Rental request: After receiving the rental request, our disposition department will initiate all steps required to deliver the required rental device. In addition to our field service employees, an online rental request is also available to Felbermayr customers.

Handover: Our team will deliver the rental device to the site that we have agreed upon with you. When delivering, our trained specialists will provide a short training session and safety training. When documenting the handover using the digital delivery note, a mobile phone or tablet is used to document the rental device condition and the delivery status when handing over. An essential part of the documentation is also photographic documentation that records the current condition and status of the device on the digital delivery note.

You will then receive a confirmation of the successful handover by e-mail. This contains a link to the digital delivery note that offers you a comprehensive overview of the delivery and return process. The digital delivery note contains photographic documentation of the rental device and a status report on its condition. You therefore have a real-time view and can ensure that everything meets your expectations.

Return: After you finish working with the Felbermayr height access technology, the rental can be ended online 24/7. Also see: Returning work platforms and lift trucks. The rental device is then collected from the agreed location. In the course of this, the condition of the rented device is documented again. Including photos in the status report enables any damage to be recorded immediately. After the collection process is complete, you will receive a detailed log by e-mail.
