At the beginning of June, a truck platform with a working height of 70 meters was used to survey the collegiate church in Salzburg. As a result, the equipment rented by the Federal Real Estate Company was also used for cleaning work.

“Due to its compact design and — in relative terms — relatively low operating weight of around 31 tons, the F-70 LTK truck platform met all the requirements of the responsible municipal authority,” explains the responsible Felbermayr operations manager at the Bergheim branch Ugur Kuru .

For the duration of the operation, the university square had to be blocked for safety reasons. “The square and surrounding streets were closed in close coordination with the Salzburg City Council,” says Kuru. After all, numerous locals and tourists visit the popular University Square every day. The biggest challenge with this assignment, however, was the limited time window. In order not to hinder the daily green market, Felbermayr took all necessary measures to make the project as efficient as possible. This included, for example, reducing changeover times — the work platform only had to be moved twice. It was therefore possible for the structural engineer to assess all necessary positions in just one day.
